An effective check-list is very necessary for your car’s proper maintenance. A car requires so much care to be on the roads for a long time. But many people do not take care of their cars as they should. Here is a checklist that every car owner should check by making a routine.

Motor oil
Depending on the manufacturer’s recommendations, you should change your motor oil every 4,000 to 10,000 kilometers or every three months to a year. You can use this dipstick to check the oil level. It’s probably time to get your oil topped off or changed if it’s below the level. You need to check the level after driving the car for a while.
Coolant flash
You have to flush the coolant every 10 years or 160,000 miles. The interval could be shorter depending on the model. The owners’ manual does have an interval mentioned by the manufacturer. You must run through a coolant flush to clean the muck out of the system before draining the old liquid out while flushing your radiator or cooling system.

Fuel
The fuel you put in your tank, whether it’s gasoline or diesel, is crucial since putting in fuel with lower cetane or octane ratings could damage your engine or result in decreased performance. Follow the recommendations from your manufacturer for this. For diesel-powered automobiles, there are normal and high-performance diesel fuels available. Now that most diesel engines have turbos, it is advised to use a higher-quality diesel to increase the lifespan of your engine.

Air filter
You should change the air filter in your engine every year, or every 12,000 to 15,000 kilometers. The factory-installed paper filter and the reusable oiled cotton or foam filter are the two types of filters you can use inside your car. Your engine will be shielded from unwelcome particulates that could cause havoc inside it if you use a filter device.
