The AMR22 car will be launched on February 10 at Aston Martin’s Gaydon headquarters, according to an email sent to enthusiasts on Friday morning. It’s the first date in the calendar for the 2022 Formula One season when all ten teams will reveal drastically altered designs in accordance with the new technical requirements.

Ferrari has established a tentative launch date of February 16-18. However, it is yet to disclose a precise date. On February 23, pre-season testing started at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain. Teams will have six days of pre-season training well before the season’s first-round on March 20 in Bahrain.

Aston Martin reveals launch date for 2022 Formula 1 car

Aston Martin will spend the 2022 season seeking to rebound from a poor season in which it finished seventh in the constructors’ standings.

The team was struck severely by downforce reduction in its debut season racing under the Aston Martin banner after its rebrand from Racing Point, causing it to lose performance in comparison to its midfield opponents.

Sebastian Vettel, a four-time world champion, had one podium finish in his maiden season with Aston Martin, finishing second at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Lance Stroll, Vettel’s teammate, finished sixth in Qatar and finished the year nine points behind Vettel in the standings.

The team’s greatest upheaval this winter was the departure of team principle and CEO Otmar Szafnauer, who had been rumored to move to Alpine. When Szafnauer left earlier this month, Aston Martin indicated that the team will be managed within the team leadership until there is a replacement.

Last year, Aston Martin had one of the most spectacular Formula One car premieres, with big names like former Bond girl Gemma Arterton, James Bond star Daniel Craig, and seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady in attendance.
