Due to the fuel shortage crisis, the electric car selling business is booming in the UK. It seems that people are turning to electric cars more than before. So, it is now a burning question whether buying a used electric car is the best way to face the petrol crisis or not.

The recent statistics explain that purchasing these types of cars have been rapidly rising last few years. These modern vehicles are becoming popular day by day among car users. This fuel crisis encourages the customers to choose an electric car as their next vehicle. In 2020, a total of 59,945 EVs were registered which indicates a record sale in the UK. It is assumed that the rise will continue as the government has decided to ban petrol and diesel cars by 2030.

The CEO of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), Mike Hawes said, “It’s encouraging to see more used car buyers snapping up low-emission vehicles as supply grows – but those sales remain low as an overall proportion of the market.”

Mr. Mike also said, “We still need the right policies and incentives from the government to give new car buyers confidence to choose the cleanest petrol, diesel, and electric models that best suit their needs.”
