Sometimes we are not aware of some common driving mistakes. Some of us have been practicing these mistakes for years unconsciously. But you can drive better, safer as well as more comfortably by avoiding these mistakes easily. Here are some tips for you to manage those motoring errors so that you can fix them quickly.

Using the ventilation recirculation button wrongly

We often use this button to protect the car window from the belching black smoke of an old Transit van. It is an effective idea to handle this situation. It is also a good way to reduce the temperature in your car during hot days. You can allow the warm air out of the car while entering into the car after entering your car. Then close the windows after a few minutes. By doing so, you can enjoy the full benefits of your air conditioning. But if you do this in winter it may take a long time to de-fug the windows.

Incorrectly or not using the parking brake

Nowadays most modern gearboxes offer automatic parking brakes. We usually don’t engage the parking brake while parking our vehicle. However, we should engage it without switching off the engine. Sometimes we forget to use a handbrake which may cause a great deal of trouble.

Not allowing sufficient space in traffic

We often practice not allowing enough space from the car in front. It is ideal to keep a distance of at least three to four feet from the vehicle in front. This practice may help you to control if any unwanted situations like breakdowns arise. If a car behind you comes up too fast, you may be able to move forward when you have enough space in front of you on the road.

Ignoring tyre status

We often forget to check the condition of our vehicle’s tyre. But we should remember that tyres are one of the most important components of our vehicle. Always check that your tyres have minimum tread to avoid any legal issues. Try to check the air pressure level of your car at least once a month.
